SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

• Fine art categories accepted are oil, acrylic, wax, photography*, mixed media, collage, sculpture, printmaking, pastels, watercolors, mosaics, ceramics, fiber arts. *Digitally created work must be identified as such in the medium/description.
• Artificial Intelligence (“AI”) assisted, as a minor component (not entirely AI generated or underpainted) and digital media are acceptable if labeled with “digital” and/or “AI assisted” somewhere in the medium label. Original digital artwork IS acceptable as a fine-quality printout. If AI is determined by the submission and not declared, it will be disqualified. Please be honest about your chosen medium.
• Artwork generated through AI based upon a third party's intellectual property will not be accepted. Original art based upon another’s intellectual property MUST be credited to the owner of that copyright or trademark; and, the submitting artist MUST provide in advance of the show written evidence of consent from that third party to produce any derivative works or copies of that third party’s intellectual property.
• Submissions are through Smarter Entry @ ttps://client.smarterentry.com/NAWAFL Simply Click on MEMBER LOGIN at the top of the page and log in to your account. Click on “A Journey Through My Imagination” under CURRENT PROSPECTUSES.
• Digital image specifications: 1920 pixels @ 300 dpi on longest side. JPG format
• Label digital images as follows: lastname_firstname_title_medium_dimensionsininchesHxW_price.jpg
• For example: Smith_Jane_Seaside_watercolorandink_18x24_500.jpg
• Sculptures must have size indicated as follows (H x L x W). Pedestals will be provided by the Morean.
• Smarter Entry will ask you to describe the materials and techniques used as well as add a small artist statement describing your thoughts on the artwork submitted.
• Sale of Work:  Artist receives 50% NAWAFL receives 10%, Morean receives 40%.

ELIGIBILITY

• All NAWA Signature members in good standing who are also members of the NAWA-Florida chapter.
• Any artwork not previously an award winner in another NAWA-FL show.

PAINTING & LABELLING REQUIREMENTS

            NAWA is a not-for-profit art organization, and as such will not list anything other than the name of the artist, the title of the work, its dimensions, medium and price on the labels.

• The venue requires all labeling information must be as follows and cover 50% of retail price while on premises only.

• Artist 100-word bio
• Artist Headshot
• Artist Statement of 100 words or less
• Email label information to the exhibition coordinator is due to ginabwhite@yahoo.com by January 5th, 2026
• All work must be framed (or gallery wrapped) & wired for hanging (no saw tooth hangers).
• All work must be the original work of the artist (no production prints).
• Artwork displayed in the show must match the .jpeg submitted (no substitutions).
• All 2D artwork MUST be wired across the back or it will not be accepted!
• All paintings must remain in place for the duration of the show
• All artwork must be for sale. (This is a NAWAFL request vs Morean’s)

MARKETING

• The Morean Curator will provide an opening announcement via e-mail and press release to the media.
• Venue is providing publicity in the Morean Newsletter, the Morean's

Website, and for other educational purposes.

• Marketing for this show will include press releases, posts on NAWAFL’s social media sites such as Instagram and Facebook, AND moreanartscenter.org as well as the artists’ social media sites.
• Each artist is asked to provide publicity on their own websites and social media sites.
• There will be an Artists’ talk scheduled at a date during the exhibition dates and we are looking for interested accepted artists to participate.

ARTIST’S AGREEMENT AND WAIVER

My application for entry into the Exhibition, “A Journey Through My Imagination” at the Morean Arts Center, 719 Central Ave, St Petersburg, FL, 33701 binds me to the Agreement as stated below, and I am to hold available said artwork from 1/16/26 until the removal date of 3/27/26-3/31/26.

In consideration of the display of my artwork, I hereby declare I am the owner and creator of the original artwork being submitted by me, both as to the artwork's physical manifestation and the copyright of the artwork. I accept full responsibility for any casualty of any kind while in the National Association of Women Artists, Inc.-Florida Chapter (NAWAFL) Exhibition, “A Journey Through My Imagination.”

I understand that my work may not be included if it fails to meet professional presentation standards (as determined by the NAWAFL Exhibitions Committee), including but not limited to: unprofessional framing, sawtooth hangers (must be professionally wired), or delivering the incorrect work. I hereby waive any and all claims against the National Association of Women Artists, Inc., as well as their employees, officers, directors and committee personnel.

Nevertheless, for the purpose of this agreement, I agree that the stated value of the artwork shall be One and No/100 dollars (1USD, $1), in the event of any loss or damage to the artwork. I agree to allow an image of my artwork to be exhibited or to be used without charge for advertising and/or promotion in the furtherance of the Exhibition, and for other purposes including, but not limited to, traditional media, social media, website, as well for public relations, prior to and/or during or after the Exhibition. In the case of post-Exhibition promotion and advertising, NAWAFL will request permission to use images for promotion. My work is to be available for sale at the price stated in my application.

The work on exhibition is considered part of the Exhibition from point of delivery between the 1/3/26 and the close of the Exhibition, 3/26/26. NAWAFL retains the discretion to decline to exhibit artworks if they do not meet the requirements of NAWAFL submission guidelines or contain any inflammatory or offensive materials.

In the event of a dispute with regard to this Waiver Agreement, I agree that all disputes must be adjudicated in a State Court in the County, City and State of New York (i.e., Manhattan), under the Laws of the State of New York, without regard to choice of law rules.

USE OF NAWA LOGO & TRAEMARK SEAL PROHIBITED: The use of the National Association of Women Artists, Inc.'s logo, without prior written permission is prohibited. The use of the registered Trademark Seal and the logo of the National Association of Women Artists, Inc. for any personal or business use on any documents, postcards, invitations, and other promotional materials and communications is a violation of law.

Consent by Signature: By my signature on the Smarter Entry submission, I agree to the terms and conditions of this Prospectus Application and Waiver.
