Gallery X invites artists to submit their artwork to Across the Veil, an open-call exhibition that will be on view September 30 through October 24. The mood of Across the Veil is one of quiet intensity and reverence. We seek work that feels grounded in the earth yet elevated by the spirit—honoring the beauty of the harvest while acknowledging the mystery of the shadows to come.
As the light wanes and the air turns crisp, we invite artists to explore the thinning boundary between the seen and the unseen. Across the Veil is a seasonal celebration of the transition into the darker half of the year—a time of harvest, transformation, and ancient memory. This exhibition seeks artwork that captures the atmospheric shift of the autumn landscape and the spiritual resonance of the natural world.
We are seeking a diverse range of interpretations, including:
- Atmospheric Landscapes: Capturing the unique light, mood, and weather of the season.
- Abstract Realism: Using color and form to evoke the feeling of change and transition.
- Figurative & Symbolic: Exploring the relationship between humanity, the spirit world, and ancient traditions.
