The Art of Landscape is a photography exhibition that expands the definition of “landscape” beyond pastoral views and natural vistas. The exhibition invites photographers whose work includes and traverses the realm between the natural and the built, the monumental and the ephemeral. The result is a visual exploration of our relationship to time and place and how humanity is transformed by the environments we inhabit.

Lucid: In Dreams
Dreams offer us a glimpse into the realm of the unconscious. Although the images flickering and manifesting behind our eyes may seem bizarre and nonsensical, analysis of one's dreams can reveal their essence. Beneath the surface of our consciousness, the latent content of dreams illustrates the hidden meaning of our thoughts, drives, and desires. We suppress the manifestation of our unconscious to defend ourselves from primitive emotions that are especially difficult to contend with. What is revealed to you as you sleep and perchance to dream? What images make you stop and ask—am I dreaming?

The Art of Abandonment
The Art of Abandonment explores abandoned and rediscovered objects, locations, and structures. Through the captured image, we can glimpse the memory of ourselves; and our surroundings and preserve them before being lost to time and place. What do these structures and ephemera convey about humanity as we leave them to decay? What is the essence of time and place, and whom are we abandoning?
