Smarter Entry provides organizations and galleries with a seamless set of integrated tools to conduct calls for entry and contests.

Smarter Entry is a web-based program that does not require any special software, only a broad-band internet connection and web browser. Updates or tweaks are free. They are automatically implemented when administrators, submitters and jurors login.

Smarter Entry eliminates the need for organizations to contract with programmers, web-hosting sites, merchant providers to process credit cards, and the continuing costs for development, support and maintenance.

Smarter Entry makes is possible for galleries and organizations to focus on what they do best by providing them with a comprehensive, flexible and inexpensive program to conduct calls for entry and contests.

Smarter Entry has four integrated sections

  • Image submission
  • Jurying
  • Administration
  • Activity reports

Each section is designed to be intuitive. Plus there are FAQ pages in each section for administrators and submitters. Jurors download a pdf providing them clear instructions.

Smarter Entry is very flexible. Its web pages can easily have the look and feel of an organization’s web pages by adding their logo and page colors during setup.

Smarter Entry provides numerous reports. Event administrators have all the information they need to manage a contest and communicate with submitters.

Smarter Entry was initially designed for The Center for Fine Art Photography, where it has been used to host more than seventy calls for entry. It is now available as a web-based program for any organization conducting calls for entry, contests and similar events.

Smarter Entry has been used by some of the most respected jurors in photography.* Judging has taken place while jurors were in the US, Canada, London, Belgrade, Paris, Frankfurt and other locations where there was an Internet connection.

Smarter Entry is hosted on HostMySite servers and is backed up daily. In the past five years, this server company has been rated amongst the most reliable in the country.

Smarter Entry gets smarter every day through suggestions from its users. While we may have to defer implementing some suggestions until a version update, others may appear the following day.
